Steevan Glover. Born 1973, Victoria - Mahe island, Seychelles.
The
product of tropical nookie, Steevan and his brothers found themselves moved from pillar to post in some of the less well known
depths of East Africa.
Not returning to the UK until 1980, when the family settled in the village of Felmersham
in Bedfordshire.
Educated
at Pinchmill Primary, Lincroft Middle and Sharnbrook Upper School, Steevan achieved spectacularly
average GCSE and A-levels grades. He was a regular in the schools sports teams, but Rugby,
Athletics and Cricket tended to be his favoured events. When not grunting on the sports field he could be found gratuitously
showing off in the drama studio.
1991
saw the appallingly coiffured Steevan scrape into King Alfred’s College (Now
Winchester University). It was
the only place that would have him; it's a small academic pond that attracted the lazily-talented under achiever. He
studied drama and theatre but in truth focused his efforts on drinking, partying and captaining the university rugby team
- this seemingly incompatible combination of drama and rugby confused fellow students then and continues so
with acquaintences now.
Steevan
has worked in one form of marketing or another since 1996 and has enjoyed, hated and loved it in equal measure. In 2003 he
stuck two fingers up to the man and decided to do it for himself – Biglove Limited was born.
In
2006 Steevan decided his creative juices needed a new outlet. So he opted for writing and set himself the challenge of writing
a novel, more accurately a crime thriller, in just six months. He achieved this feat, but unfortunately it was utter
rubbish. So he wrote it all again, and then again. Then he left it alone for a bit and then re-wrote it one last time.
Froggie was born.
Steevan
married his long suffering university sweetheart, Kay, in 2002. A PR guru, she has been an inspirational prescence in his
life, whose devotion and laughter have enabled her to smile through all of his hair-brained plans. They live in a 1960's town
house, with full retro-styling, in a village near Windsor, where
their focus is on raising their son, Hieronymus (Ronnie).
