December 2011
Froggie has been re-read by my little crew of editors and has been given the thumbs up, I have some additional tweaks to make and then in the New Year it will be back out to agents and new publishers as well as a "2nd Edition" update on Kindle and Ibook too. Now working on completing the third draft of the David Danjou thriller  - Penitent Man.
September 2011
After a huge amount of work and about a 30% rewrite of Froggie and with the book much improved and ready to rock... the Publishers effectively go bust. Gutted. Will re-group and think about what I can now do as the book had to be pulled from YWO publication as part of my new contract.
May 2011
Froggie has attracted a publisher - Rickshaw, a small independent and relatively new outfit have taken me on a three book deal with Frogie the first book to be published. They require some rewrites and edits, but we are hopefully looking for a September release.
February 2011
The Pentitent Man has been completed and has gon out to my favoured proof readers and narative critics. The Frog and the Scorpion has been pushed out once again to various publishers and agents.
November 2010
NEW KINDLE version of "The Frog and the Scorpion" Now Available on Amazon.co.uk
Froggie sales continue to improve and a revised promotional push has shown real benefits as sales for the KNDLE and punlished version move forward. The book has proven very successful in local libraries and is nowpart of the Berkshire reading group!
"Penitent Man" my David Danjou thriller novel is taking shape, first draft will be complete in early 2011.
September 2010
30,000 wordscomplete of my new thriller. based on a charatcer called David Danjou, a former English French Foreign Legionnaire escaping from his past and but being forced to face clear and present danger! This is the first in a planned series, very Recheresque and written in my trademark cinematic style.

June 2010
I accepted a new job with a Canadian software comopan that had me travelling the world, unfortunately it has curtailed my writing a little. That said i am developing new projects and ideas for books.
Decemember 2009
The last couple of months has seen me push the book out to more Top Amazon reviewers looking for reviews. These are now coming online. Sadly one review, by Kat Everett, can only now be seen on DooYoo and CIAO.
September 2009
I completed the10km charity run for Cancer Research at Hampton Court in 56 minutes and 21 seconds - breaking my target of 1 hour. It was a hot day but the cause and the 6000 other fellow runners helped me drag my aching bones over the line.
August 2009
I have entered my Short Story Mighty Like a Rose into the BBC shor story of the year competition and have begun work on another for the Sunday Times competition. A recent book signing in Datchet went very well and a lot of books were sold, it was a realy good day being part of the Small Buisness drive in the village.
May 2009
Work on my second novel, "My favourite flavour is vanilla" has slowed down. I had hoped to have the first draft complete and ready to be read here online by June. That looks unlikely, July is my revised deadline. Sales a still moving along well and Twitter has become something of an obsession!
March 2009
Sales have been going well and the news that the book is also on sale on the WHSmiths and Waterstones websites is great. I recently featured in several articles in Windsor, Berkshire and Hampshire loacal papers and will be on BBC Radio Berkshire in early April.
February 2009
Christmas has been and gone and sales have exceeded 500 on Amazon. A pretty impressive feat for an unsupported debut novel. The second wave of promotion has begun and the PR campaign is moving into top gear.

All promotional work and advertising work for The frog and the scorpion will begin after Christmas. Advanced copies of the book will be available to buy online, but look out for Steevan and the book in the local and national press in January and February 2009.

Steev's Comment

January 2012
I have finished the final draft of "Deliver me from evil.." the re-named David Danjou thriller, I'm excited by the book and feel it is a real winner. I'll be sending it out to reviwers and friendly critics for a final proof in February and looking to publish on Kindle in March. Froggie is back doing the rounds... such a shame that such a good read isn't getting a bigger audience.

September 2011
So gutted about the publisher going under - I have been released from any contractual negotiations but it feels like so much work and time has been wasted. Will just have to press on...

May 2011
Delighted by the publishing deal, to get the recognition is always nice. It came just as the second edition of "Pentitent Man" was completed too. I may need to review the title, it seems few know what Penitent means!

November 2010
2010 saw me take a new job, a lot of travel and a lot of politics... it killed my creativity stone dead and proved to be a big mistake. I resigned in October and have applied myself much more diligently to my writing. A new novel should be completed in January 2011 and the first chapers will be uploaded here at the same time.

September 2009
My fitness drive has paid dividends and the weight loss remains on course. The run at Hampton Court has resulted in a problem with my left big toe, but I will be doing the Triathlons and more runs in 2010. I rather enjoy it. Work is killing my writing creativity at the moment, but I'm hoping that the short stories will revive me and I can complete the two books sooner rather than later.

May 2009
Writing has taken a back seat to promotional work for too long now. I need to get back into writing regularly. 'Vanilla' is close to being finished and my new thriller is itching to get on the page. I have to compete in a triathlon soon so I should be able to vent some spleen there!
March 2009
March has seen more press activity, and a great piece in the Windsor Express. The news that the book is now available from every major retailer (WHSmiths and Waterstones online) is great and should lead to some book signings. I'll be on the BBC Radio Berkshire airwaves on the 3rd April 2009 with my good friend and co-writer Chris Lambert.
February 2009
I recently completed a TV interview with an independent production company, the results should be available on YouTube and here shortly. I took the opportunity to do some publicity shots with Simon Clay at the same time; a small collection of the images can be seen here on my gallery.
January 2009
With Christmas out the way i can focus on some new writing. A sequel toi Froggie is in the ofing, but i need to finish two other manuscripts before that can be started. Test readers have read the first 30,000 words of my dark serial killer novel, Vanilla..., and it has had positive feedback. The opening pages may be posted here later in the year.
December 2008
I have organised my author copies of the book, they are due any day. Now the book is listed on Amazon and Barnes and Noble amongst others. It is all a little more real and a little more scary.
It's no longer just my book and pet project, it has ceased to be a conversation piece at parties...it's real and out there and has to stand alone. Frankly i'm cacking it!
November 2008
The manuscript is with the publisher and no more amends can be made. Now I just have to wait until December before i can see any advanced copies.
